The History of the UTA

The UTA, founded by a group of like-minded individuals, was born out of a need to promote unity and professionalism within the taxidermy industry. In 2007 representatives from in and around the United States came together, with a vision for the advancing the art of taxidermy with special emphasis on education and youth. To assure appropriate representation, each of six US regions, the U.S. Territories including an International representative were chosen to work towards improving the image of the industry as whole and developing partnerships that benefit not only taxidermists but our concerned constituents of the sportsman’s rights and sporting industry. On September 12th, 2007 the United Taxidermist Association was officially incorporated in the state of New York.
